Extended Sessions

accurate-alarm-alarm-clock-359989Do you feel too constrained by the 50-55 min therapeutic hour?

Have a lot to say and feel that you can’t get it all out in the usual hour session?

Want to accomplish more in a shorter amount of time?

Interested in EMDR Therapy and want to process more in each session?

Are you especially talkative and don’t want to feel rushed?

Are you in crisis and need additional support?

Will you be having a longer drive to get to therapy?

If any of these are true for you, you may be interested in scheduling extended therapy sessions.

Everyone wants to be heard and understood and some clients feel that one hour a week of therapy doesn’t allow them enough time to get their story out to their satisfaction. Others find that they need more time to learn and practice new skills for coping. Still others need more time in session to be able to use hypnosis, EFT, or EMDR Therapy and to work through as many negative beliefs, memories, and thoughts as possible in a single session.

Length of Sessions

Extended sessions need to be booked in advance in order to find a longer time slot that works for the therapist and the client. Extended sessions may be booked for 1.5 hours or 2 hours. In some cases, longer sessions may be available at the discretion of the therapist.

Cost of Sessions

Sessions will be prorated.

If you are using insurance, your insurance may not cover more than an hour of therapy per day or even week. Each insurance company may have a different way they wish that billing be handled and I will have to honor the wishes of any insurance company I am contracted with. Typically, however, you will be responsible for the co-pay/co-insurance for the first hour of therapy and then will be charged for any additional time based on my contracted rate with your insurance company.
